Adolfo Mota founded MA Engineering on more than 20 years of civil engineering design and management experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from San Diego State University and is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California. Adolfo has led design and management teams through the planning and final design phases of major drainage, utility, traffic, grading, and roadway programs, including the Crenshaw/LAX LRT, the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Transit Feasibility Study, the Orange Line Improvements, and the SR 57/SR 60 Interchange Improvements. That work made him adept at navigating approvals and resolving issues across multiple agencies and stakeholders, and it set the foundation for the firm. At MA Engineering, he has built a culture that supports technical and professional development at every level of experience, paired with a hands-on approach on every project and with every client.
Adolfo is also active in the local small and diverse business community, with memberships that include the Caltrans Small Business Advisory Council and Professional Liaison Committee, the LA Metro Transportation Business Advisory Council, the Los Angeles chapter of the Disabled Veteran Business Alliance, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.
