MA Engineering has provided design services for track, tunnel, roadway, and parking lot design for this project. MA Engineering staff has led the redesign of the tunnel and track alignments in order to meet and comply with MRDC standards for heavy rail design using nonstandard 22.5 ft tunnel and eliminate design conflicts. MA Engineering staff has also led the preliminary design to verify LABOE and City of Beverly Hills design criteria. In addition to leading the tunnel and roadway design effort, MA Engineering has provided assistance in the design for the VA Station Parking Lot and the propose VA parking structure, in order to provide park and ride access to side while accommodating and meeting request of VA Hospital for visitors to their facilities.
